Art Basics led by Berlin DiVittore

This course will cover the basics of art and crafts. Accompanied by scripture from the Book of Genesis, students will get a chance to understand (and discuss) God's creation of our beautiful home and everything in it. Each project will directly teach various concepts from the 7 days of God's creation. It will also teach various mediums, styles, and developmental skills. And hopefully it will inspire them and help grow their creative spirits.

Beginner Cursive led by Autumn Vickery

The goal of the course is to cover all the letters, demonstrate how to connect them, and help students develop beautiful penmanship. Students should bring their own composition book. If the child is younger and still learning to form traditional letters properly they would be encouraged to bring a primary composition book please.

We will learn how to set up a hoop, thread a needle, and master several different stitch types. Students will practice different stitches and designs on a hoop of their own to take home. No prior experience needed!

Cooking class is back with some fresh recipes! We aim to help kids become more confident in the kitchen; we'll be making homemade pizza, various cookies, homemade buns, and other recipes.

Formula 1 Racing led by Shanna Rogness

Come learn about the highest class of international racing, known for its fast cars, skilled drivers, and advanced technology.  We’ll study physics, teamwork, geography, and more. Each student will build and take home their own LEGO F1 race car!

Girls P.E. “Healthy From the Inside Out” led by Kayla Nolte

First half hour will focus on Health connected to scripture: Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Social health with activities and scripture copywork. The second half hour we will learn and do praise dance fitness to worship music with appropriate and body strengthening moves to thank and honor God.

Teamwork and movement are the goals for Boys PE! We will finish the season with Laser Tag across the street at Planet Pizza. The money goes towards that. At registration I’d want parents to make sure they give permission for me to leave the building with their kiddo/s.

Through books, experiments, crafts, observations, and activities, we will explore weathering and erosion, landforms and glaciers, Earth's layers, rocks and minerals, the rock cycle, geodes, plate tectonics, volcanoes, and earthquakes. We will also make connections to geology and the natural history of North Dakota.

IEW Writing Class led by Grace Deal

I will be leading kids through the IEW Structure and Style Level 1A. We will watch the Andrew Pudewa videos together and they will do their writing assignments at home. If your kids are ready to actually ENJOY reading, this is the BEST writing curriculum out there! 

Class is free, but each student will need the STUDENT BINDER. A teacher manual might also be helpful for parents.

Introduction to Public Speaking led by Katherine Evans

Cited as a common worst fear for many, public speaking is a necessary skill that translates well into almost every industry, job, and situation. In this course, we will introduce speech (prepared presentations and impromptu speaking), debate, oral interpretation to literature, and many other applications your student can carry forward. Katherine Evans has a wealth of experience in this field: participating in debate tournaments, dramas, and communication classes that have given her skills which she currently applies to her teaching and her career as a local author (hosting author events and speaking with the public) and audiobook narrator.

Rubik's Cube led by Joey Turner

We will be learning how to solve a 3x3 Rubik's cube, and we will also learn more advanced methods of solving cubes. We will also do activities such as one handed solves, relay solves, and others. Bring your own cube, or let us know at registration if you don't have one and we will provide one.
